Joomla template maker
With the recent update from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 1.6 many website owners are looking for new templates. Unfortunately the old Joomla 1.5 templates are not compatible with the new version.
A few months ago I was looking for a simple to use Joomla template maker. Well I’ve found one and thought I would write a review about it. The only Joomla 1.6 template maker I know if is called Artisteer. When I first started making joomla 1.5 templates I started with Artisteer myself. Because of its easy usage I can recommend it to absolute newbies too. There is also a feature that generates you a joomla template with the click of one button. It’s really that simple.

Creating Joomla template with Artisteer is really simple. You just have to select the corresponding settings like color, height, styles etc and save the template. There are also very advanced features included.

- Artisteer has two versions. An $50 version and a $130 version. The cheaper version does not include Joomla (it includes WordPress and Blogger) however the $130 version includes wordpress, blogger, joomla 1.5 and 1.6, Drupal and much more. The $130 is worth the investment.

- The software works on Windows but it will be soon released for the Mac (maybe it’s already released). They also plan to release it on Linux.

If you are looking for a great joomla template maker I strongly recommend Artisteer. It has everything you need: user-friendly interface, many options, stable software and $130 is a steal. If you hire a template designer you may pay more then $130, and just imagine how many templates you can make with Artisteer in the future…
